Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)
Effective July 1, 2010 the Ontario Retail Sales Tax (PST) has been replaced with a value added tax (OVAT) and combined with the federal goods & services tax (GST) to create a federally administered Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). The new Ontario HST will be encompassing a provincial component (OVAT) at 8% and a federal component (GST) at 5%, for a combined HST rate of 13%. (e.g. 13% HST = 5% GST + 8% OVAT)

Covid Fee (COV)
As a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking increased safety measures and are following Niagara Regional Public Health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both our guests and staff. These measures include: disinfecting all surfaces after use, disinfecting tables and chairs before and after use, limiting washrooms to two people at a time, providing masks to all staff, requesting the use of hand sanitizer upon entry of the establishment, sanitizing bank machines after use, disinfecting our POS systems, enforcing a minimum distance of six feet between guests, and many more. As we take more and more steps to guarantee all Niagara Regional Public Health and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines are met, our operation costs have increased. We have hired a large amount of additional staff whose sole duty is to ensure that these measures are followed.

A major side effect of the pandemic is the effect this has had on our capacity. We may now carry less than half of our original capacity. This means that you may experience longer wait times when waiting for a table. However, you can feel safe knowing that your table will not be within six feet of another. Aside from a decreased capacity, we also face increased operational costs. To help offset this increase in labour, management, and production costs; an additional nineteen percent will be added to your bill, and will show as ‘COV’ on your receipt. We are extremely grateful for your continued support during these times of uncertainty.
